Waterloo woman writes song of peace

WATERLOO (KWWL)-- One Waterloo woman is trying to spread peace through her new song.

She's had this song for years but now she's ready to share it with the world.

Janine Ambrose wrote the song "We are in This Together" when she saw the inauguration of President Clinton.

Local government officials, Governor Culver, and Senators Grassley and Harkin helped Ambrose with the video by sending pictures.

She hopes her song will help promote peace.

"My hope is just to get it out there, have people listen to it. I think it has a message and that message is about how we think and how we create and how we must come together." said Ambrose.

Effie Burt, one of the singers in the video, is singing in Washington DC right now on another project.

She has connections to President Obama and is trying to get him to hear the song.

Ambrose never had the chance to have President Clinton hear her song.

She is hoping President Obama will be able to listen to it.
