New recycling drop off location in Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- The City of Cedar Falls is opening a new drop-off recycling location at 4302 University Ave, Cedar Falls. This site is located at the Cedarloo Shopping Center, in front of Goodwill, Davinci's Pizza, and Europa Cycle and Ski.

This new site will accept Cardboard, Newspaper, Plastics #1-7, Tin Cans, and Clear Glass. The site will be available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Items not accepted at this site are: Garbage, Yard Waste, Hazardous waste, Styrofoam, Plastic bags, Salt bags, and Shrink wrap/visqueen

The City of Cedar Falls offers its residents the opportunity to participate in its recycling efforts by providing drop-off locations for recyclable items. There is no fee to use these sites and residents are encouraged to recycle as many items as possible

This drop site will initially operate on a 30-day trial basis to determine the effectiveness of this location. Residents are urged to be respectful of the surrounding property so that a clean appearance is maintained.
