Certain pain killers could increase your risk for heart problems.
Danish researchers had participants take ibuprofen, Vioxx, and Diclofenac.
Those taking ibuprofen had a nearly 30-percent increased risk for stroke, while those taking Vioxx and Diclofenac had a much higher risk for dying from heart disease.
The study found the drug naproxen, sold over-the-counter as Aleve, was not linked to heart-related problems.
Researchers say the overall chance of a healthy adult experiencing a heart problem directly linked to these painkillers is low, but it is worth discussing with your doctor.
