Waterloo voter still casting ballot at 102

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Kathryn McGrath first cast her ballot in the 1932 election.

The 102 year-old taught psychology at Berkeley and has been living at Rosewood in Waterloo for the past 13 years.

Back in '32, people couldn't vote at age 18, by law they had to wait until they were 21.

Tuesday, she warned people what would happen if she couldn't vote.

"My first vote in I was very excited that I could vote. I told them yesterday that if they didn't let us vote, we would make a big noise, but, therefore people should be voting so they don't have to make a big noise," Kathryn McGrath said.

McGrath will be 103 come January.  She isn't telling us which party she votes for.
