Scene at courthouse calmer on Day 2 of Blago trial

CHICAGO (AP) -- The scene at Chicago's federal courthouse is much calmer on the second day of ex-Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's corruption trial.

About a dozen journalists were gathered outside and on the first floor of the building awaiting Blagojevich's arrival later Friday morning. That's compared to the 60 or so that were at the building on Thursday.

Blagojevich is charged with scheming to profit by selling or trading the Senate seat that President Barack Obama vacated. He's pleaded not guilty.

During the first day of the trial, the former governor appeared to be in full campaign mode. He greeted well-wishers with hugs and handshakes and said he felt "great."

Jury selection is set to resume Friday. On Thursday, Judge James B. Zagel questioned 29 potential jurors in five hours.
