Programs announced for teens at Iowa City library

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- The Iowa City Public Library announced its summer reading program along with other programs aimed at teens.

The teen summer reading program will run from June 6 to July 24.  Those participating will read books and fill out review forms in order to choose paperback book prizes and be entered in drawings for other prizes.

On June 8, a program teaching teens how to recycle containers by turning them into pots will be taught by master gardener Stephany Hoffelt.  Tips on creating a small-space garden and door prizes will also be given at the event.

A World Cup event will take place on June 12 in the library.  Guests are invited to watch the U.S. soccer team take on the England and enjoy free pizza as well.
