Homecoming planned for nearly 200 soldiers

WATERLOO (KWWL)-- Following the Memorial Day Parade in Waterloo at 10:30 Monday morning, you can help welcome back soldiers who have been serving in Iraq.

200 soldiers based out of Waterloo with the 445th Transportation Company will return home to their family and friends.

The solders left the area in June of 2009 for their third tour of duty in Iraq. 168 soldiers from across Iowa and several other states make up the company.

The group is expected to arrive back home in Black Hawk county around 8:30 a.m. Monday.

A welcome home ceremony will take place at the reserve center on Burton Avenue around 9 a.m.

Be sure to watch the KWWL News for complete coverage of both events.
