Man cited for slashing tires after glare

DES MOINES (AP) -- Police cited a Des Moines man who admitted he slashed cars tires outside a city bar because he believed one of the watering hole's customers gave him a dirty look.

The 38-year-old was cited Thursday for fourth-degree criminal mischief for the incident that took place May 18.

Police say the man was walking into Ron's Dawg House Sports Bar when a patron shot him an angry glance.

Authorities say that prompted the man to use a razor to slash a single tire on each of four cars parked outside.

Police Detective Dave Smith says the man wasn't sure which car belonged the customer who glared so "he made everybody pay."

The incident was captured on a security camera.
