Anhydrous tank rupture forces people from their homes

WASHINGTON (KWWL)-- An Anhydrous tank rupture in Washington County forced people from their homes Thursday night.

Officials in Washington say they received a call around 8:05 p.m. that a tank ruptured in the 2500 block of 220th Street. A large anhydrous cloud was covering parts of G36, that's just north of Washington. People reported difficulty breathing and burning eyes in the area. Emergency crews closed the road and people living in nearby homes were told to leave their homes for about an hour.

The cloud lifted and the roadway has been reopened.
