WATERLOO (KWWL) -- The move to eliminate trans fat from packaged and restaurant foods has given Americans more heart-healthy options, according to a new study.
Researchers at Harvard University studied more than 80 brand name foods that were reformulated to cut out trans fats.
Both restaurant foods and pre-packaged meals were healthier after the switch -- in many cases dropping trans and saturated fat totals.
