Waterloo stabbing sends man to hospital

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- A stabbing Monday afternoon has sent a man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Forty-two-year-old Ira Harris Jr. was stabbed near Waterloo's central bus station.  Harris was told by co-workers to go to the hospital after showing up to work with two stab wounds in his stomach.

Harris met police at a Waterloo hospital and was flown to University of Iowa Hospitals for treatment.  Authorities are investigating the stabbing.
