Pit bull bites Waterloo officer; Man tasered

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- A Waterloo Police officer is recovering after being bit by a pit bull and the owner of the dog was tasered after struggling with officers.

Capt. Tim Pillack says officer Eryn Hageman suffered a minor bite on her arm Saturday while investigating an assault at the home of Scott Clark.

The pit bull was seized.

Pillack says that following the bite, Clark was tasered while he struggled with other officers who were trying to arrest him.

Clark is charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication, interference and harassment.

According to Pillack, Clark was released on $3,400 bond from the Black Hawk County Jail on Sunday.
