Rydell car show helps child abuse charity

WATERLOO (KWWL) --The Chevy dealer in Waterloo was full of fords and other makes Saturday at the second annual Rydell Car show.

"We want anybody with any make or model to bring them out, just get the diaper off, polish them off, and show them off," Rydell manager Matt Halbur said.

More than 250 cars were shown off.

Some makes were even from the 1920's.

Proceeds from the t-shirt sales went to the black hawk family and children's council to stop child abuse.

"It's a cause that is near and dear to my hear and a lot of our employees that work here.  Child abuse is a growing problem and it has been for quite some time, and anything that we can do to help curve that and stop that we're all for," Halbur said.

Rydell's goal is to make more than $500 for the charity.
