Cedar Rapids man pleads guilty to federal fraud

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - A Cedar Rapids man pleaded guilty to federal fraud and identity theft charges in federal court in Cedar Rapids Monday.

Investigators said 57-year-old Alan Bernard defrauded his employer and used the identity of another person to commit credit card fraud.

Bernard was convicted of one count of credit card fraud, one count of use of a forged security and one county of aggravated identity theft.

Bernard faces up to 27 years in prison and a $750,000 fine.

A sentencing date has not been set.
