Lacey Makes the Cut

Posted:

Former Iowa State point guard Alison Lacey was named to the Seattle Storm's final roster for the 2010 season, the Storm announced Friday. Lacey is the only rookie to make the final cut in Seattle.

Lacey has been in training camp in Seattle since being drafted by the Storm on April 8. She was the 10th pick in the draft, the highest selection ever for the Cyclones. Lacey led Iowa State to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including trips to the Elite Eight and Sweet 16 in the last two seasons.

The Canberra, Australia, native will make her professional debut Sunday when the Storm faces the Los Angeles Sparks at 4 p.m. (central) in Seattle.
