CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Two Kernels players have been promoted while two up and comers rejoin the team.

Infielder Ivan Contreras has been promoted to double-A Arkansas and infielder Adam Younger was promoted to single-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Infielder's Michael Wing and Jon Karcich both rejoin the Kernels from extended spring training.

Wing, selected by the Angels in the 26th round of the 2007 draft, was on the Kernels 2010 Opening Day roster.  He's played in 11 games so far this year, batting .179 with 6 RBI.

Karcich, a seventh round pick in the 2009 Free Agent Draft, spent 2009 at Orem, where he hit .235 in 53 games with 5 home runs, 22 RBI's and eleven doubles.
