Waterloo pediatrician calms parent fears about children's medication recalls
WATERLOO (KWWL) -- In light of the recent children's medication recall, we interviewed a local pediatrician live on the KWWL News at 5 Monday.
Dr. Kim Neumann with Peoples' Community Health Clinic in Waterloo reminded us that over-the-counter medications are available without a prescription for a reason. They are generally safer and over-dosing does not pose the same risk as a prescribed medicine.
That's good news for parents who may be concerned about having given their child a dose of now-recalled McNeil medications that fall under the Johnson & Johnson brand. They include Tylenol, Motrin, Benadryl and Zyretec only in the liquid form.
