The day could come when you could look inside your genetic code and know if a certain drug could kill you or have no impact at all.
Researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine sequenced a 40-year-old man's entire genome.
He was in relatively good health -- but researchers found he was at an increased risk for heart attack, type two diabetes, and even some cancers.
They also found the man would likely respond well to statin drugs... And may need higher doses of other medications.
While this could prove beneficial for some people... Scientists say patients would need extensive counseling before finding out what's in their genes.
