1 injured in semi collision

TAMA COUNTY (KWWL)--  An Aplington man is injured after two semis crash Thursday night.

The crash shut down parts of Highway 30 in Tama County just after 9 p.m. Thursday.

State troopers say 37 year old Joel Heineman of Dunkerton was traveling west on Highway 30 when he swerved into the shoulder of the eastbound lane after the vehicle in front of him slowed for a deer.

Troopers say a semi driven by 48 year old Dennis Roster then hit Heineman's trailer and crashed into a ditch.

Roster was taken to a Waterloo hospital. His condition has not been released.
