WATERLOO (KWWL) -- A Tuesday morning traffic stop landed two people in the Black Hawk County Jail on drug charges.

Black Hawk County Sheriff's Deputies stopped a car at Broadway and Cedar Bend Streets in Waterloo for a traffic violation shortly after 2:00 Tuesday morning.

Deputies found that the driver, Dawn Shiree King, 40, didn't have a valid drivers license and the passenger, Blane Everett Brocka, 44, had an open can of beer.

After further investigation, deputies found that both King and Brocka were in possession of the prescription medication Hydrocodone.

Neither one had a prescription for the drugs and the pills were not in a bottle.

Police say the two also had pipes used for smoking illegal drugs.

King and Brocka were taken to the Black Hawk County Jail and are charged with Possession Of Prescription Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
