Allen Health System CEO leaving for Quad Cities


WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Richard A. Seidler, President and CEO of Allen Health System, will be leaving Waterloo to take the same job with Trinity Regional Health System in the Quad Cities.

The move is effective June 1, 2010.

Seidler, who has been president and CEO of Allen Health System since 1998, will relocate with his wife to the Quad Cities this summer.

Seidler says, "I am very enthusiastic about this opportunity to lead Trinity.  I'm encouraged by what is happening in the community. I'm also excited by what I know is happening at Trinity, with its outstanding patient outcomes. Trinity has a culture of committed employees, outstanding physicians and high-quality care."

Seidler was an active member of the community serving as past chair of the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce.

He also helped to create the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance.

Allen and Trinity are both senior affiliate hospitals of Iowa Health System which is based in Des Moines.

Trinity Regional Health System is comprised of four campuses in Rock Island, Moline, Bettendorf and Muscatine.

Allen Health System includes Allen Hospital, Allen College, United Medical Park in Waterloo, Prairie Medical Park in Cedar Falls, and Iowa Health Physicians offices throughout Eastern Iowa.
