WATERLOO (KWWL)

They're called 'Crisis Boxes, and over the next two weekends, you have the chance to help hundreds of local families who truly need these personal items.

Thursday, at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Waterloo, volunteers from the Cedar Valley Chamber of Commerce--Cedar Valley Leadership Institute, were busy filling these crisis boxes, not with food, but with personal items, like diapers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and toiletry items.

It's a Cedar Valley Chamber of Commerce http://www.cedarfalls.org/ and Cedar Valley Leadership Institute project with the food bank, and your donations of these items are desperately needed.

Over the next two weekends, April 10 thru the 18th, be looking for the crisis box barrels at the HyVee locations at Crossroads, University Avenue and College Square. All you have to do is just drop your items into one of the crisis box barrels at HyVee. or contact the Northeast Iowa Food bank for more information about the Cedar Valley Leadership Institute project with the Northeast Iowa food bank. http://www.northeastiowafoodbank.org/
