Terry Allen's MSU Bears to lose scholarships

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI (KWWL) -- The Missouri State football team will lose scholarships after failing to meet NCAA academic requirements.

The Bears, coached by former UNI head man Terry Allen, will lose 2.83 scholarships in the 2010-2011 season for failing to reach the NCAA's four year average score requirement of 925.  Missouri State's four year average was 921.

The MSU basketball team, which also failed to meet the requirement, will lose one scholarship for the 2011-2012 season.
