WATERLOO (AP) -- A 25-year old Waterloo woman has entered an Alford plea in Black Hawk County District Court to three charges of child endangerment in the death of her baby son.

Tiara Williams entered the Alford plea on Monday, not admitting guilt, but agreeing she would likely be convicted if the matter went to trial.

A judge sentenced Williams to three 10-year sentences, a total of 30 years.

As part of a plea agreement prosecutors reduced a more serious charge against Williams.

Eight-month old Antwuan Williams Jr. died in February 2008 after he was found unresponsive.

His father, Antwuan Williams Sr., is in prison for second-degree murder in the boy's death.

Authorities alleged Tiara Williams didn't report the abuse.
