Black Hawks set for Green Bay in playoffs

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- The task seems almost insurmountable.  With the playoffs beginning Wednesday, the Waterloo Black Hawks would need to beat league leading Green Bay in 3 out of 5 games to move on.  However, in the past 2 seasons, Waterloo has met the gamblers 14 times and only came out victorious twice.

They do go into playoffs riding a big 7 to 1 win over Team USA on Friday night.  The scoring was well spread out as no single Black Hawk found the net more than once in the victory.

As for the nearly impossible mission facing them next week head coach P.K. O'Handley says he's not counting his team out just yet.

"I think it's a huge task, but it's David and Goliath," says O'Handley, "I just told our guys, we have nothing to lose.  We're not supposed to win.  We're not supposed to win a game.  We might as well extend the series as long as we can, and if we can extend it a little, maybe we might win it.  So that's how we're approaching it."

Game one is set for Wednesday night, 7:00 PM,  in Green Bay.
