BONDURANT (KWWL) - Authorities say two people have survived a plane crash near Bondurant in central Iowa.  The Polk County sheriff's office says the small plane crashed Wednesday morning in a corn field. The pilot was trying to land at the Ankeny airport when the crash happened.  Reports indicate that pilot Andy Gille and passenger Sid Samuels escaped without serious injuries.  The men say they were flying from Wisconsin to Des Moines when they had engine problems. The sheriff's office says the plane ran out of fuel.  The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
