WATERLOO (KWWL) -- New research shows heavy drinkers are more likely to take risks -- like not wearing seat belts and eating poorly.
The Kaiser Permanente study of nearly 8,000 people found adults who have an average of three or more drinks a day were less likely than others to seek routine medical care.
Researchers did find that moderate drinkers had slightly better health than others -- even those who abstained from alcohol.
