UNI, ISU and Iowa women leave for NCAA tourney

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) - Iowa's big three women's teams will all be dancing this weekend. For UNI, it's an NCAA first.

"Everybody is obviously very excited. This is a huge step for our program. Our kids have practiced extremely hard. And we're looking forward to this challenge," said UNI Head Coach Tanya Warren.

The Panther women left today for Minnesota. This is the first NCAA tournament ever for the UNI women.

They'll face top-seeded Nebraska Sunday night--coached by Iowans Connie Yori, who played with Tanya Warren at Creighton.

Bluder's Bunch plays Saturday against Rutgers and former Iowa coach C. Vivian Stringer at Stanford.

Iowa State gets home court advantage at Hilton Sunday against Lehigh.

All three of those games on ESPN2.
