Woman with meth ingredients found unconscious in police lobby

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -- Around 1:30 Thursday afternoon, police were notified of a woman passed out in the shared lobby of the Sheriff's Office and Police Department.

Officers say 27-year-old Leanne Marie Cox was intoxicated or impaired.  Police arrested the woman for public impairment.

While arresting Cox, officers searched her bag finding materials used to make methamphetamine including lithium batteries, coffee filters, pseudoephedrine, rubber gloves and a black coffee thermos containing acid.

With the findings, the Dubuque County Drug Task Force says Cox is also charged with Possession of Pre-Cursor with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

Cox is at the Dubuque County Jail.
