Houser seeking re-election

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Current Linn County supervisor James Houser says he wants to continue to serve the county.

Houser, 56, will seek a sixth term in office.

Houser was first appointed to the board in 1990 to fill a vacancy.  Since then, Houser has been re-elected four times to four-year terms.  In 2008, Houser was elected to a two-year term in the fifth district to start the staggered terms of the board.

Current supervisor Lu Barron announced last week that she will seek re-election to district two.
