4 teens arrested for shooting out car windows

WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Four Waterloo teens have been charged with 2nd Degree Criminal Mischief after police say they shot out windows on 22 vehicles over two days.

After getting a description of the car the teens were driving, an Iowa State Patrol trooper spotted the car and stopped it at the intersection of Donald and Idaho Streets in Waterloo after a short chase.

The four teens, ranging in age from 13 to 17, were arrested and police found a BB gun, BB's and CO2 cartridges.

They were booked at the Black Hawk County Jail and then released to their parents or guardians.

Police are still trying to put a dollar figure on the damage.
