NU High steamrolls Coon Rapids-Bayard to advance to semis

Posted:

DES MOINES (KWWL) -- NU High's run to the state semifinals met with little resistance Monday as the Little Panthers destroyed Coon Rapids-Bayard 72-29 at Wells Fargo Arena.

NU High shot out to a 32-0 halftime lead shooting better than 50% in the first 16 minutes while holding CR-B to just 23%.  Three Little Panthers reached double figures in the game led by Tanner Cooke's 16 on 6-10 shooting.

NU will meet Rock Valley, the team that ousted them in the state final a year ago.  That game is set to tip at 10:30 AM on Thursday.
