DES MOINES (KWWL)-  The winningest coach in Iowa girls high school basketball history fell short of his second state title.

Bishop Heelan used a 15-3 run to open the second half, and put the game out of reach, as the Crusaders brought home their second championship in three years with a 73-54 victory over Waukon.

Heelan's Carli Tritz led the way with 25 points, Millie Niggeling added 22.  Waukon (25-2) got 24 points from Mary Halverson.

Coach Klinge is now 956-219 in 48 seasons.
