Rock Revolution

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) --Students from across the Midwest competed for the "cleanest" climb at the 11th annual Rock Revolution at the University of Northern Iowa on Saturday.

60 student competed--from beginners to advanced.

The competition was not for speed, but for the best climbing technique while staying on route.

"It's the adrenaline rush.  I mean it really is…Its all a mental game too.  You got to push power through it, and it's really rewarding when you get to the top and you can do something you didn't think you could do before," Student Coordinator Adam Rhoades said.

Climbers could compete on UNI's 40-foot rock wall and a 10-foot bouldering wall.

The best in each category won various pieces of climbing gear.
