Cedar Falls Whips Waterloo East 79-55

Posted:

A third time was definitely the charm for Cedar Falls as the Tiger boys beat Waterloo East 79-55 to make it to the 4A Substate final against Cedar Rapids Jefferson.  Cedar Falls jumped on East early bolting to a 17-1 lead with three minutes left in the first quarter.

Waterloo East rallied to make a game of it, cutting the Tiger lead to just three, 26-23 at halftime. But Cedar Falls regained control of the game in third quarter. Caleb Konieczny made seven three pointers just short of his schoool record as Cedar Falls pulled away for the win.
