Black Hawks Win Sixth Straight 8-2 Over Fargo

The Waterloo Black Hawks won their sixth consecutive game by blasting the Fargo Force 8-2 at Young Arena Friday.

The Hawks were able to score five times in the final seven minutes of the opening period. When Waterloo swiped a clearing attempt, it set up Brock Montpetit's first goal at 13:18. Derek Arnold banged in a rebound at 15:12. Less than a minute later, Montpetit again scored to cap a two-on-one rush. J.T. Brown had assists on the first three goals, then scored one himself at 18:17 during a pile up in the goalmouth. With 23 seconds left before intermission, Tyler Barnes capped the period with a wraparound goal.
