Help re-name the DNR's volunteer program

DES MOINES (KWWL) -- Iowa Department of Natural Resources workers are asking you to help them recruit volunteers... by coming up with a catchy new slogan.

The DNR's Keepers of the Land Volunteer Program is holding a contest to choose a two to five word slogan.  They'd like it to reflect what volunteering means to Iowa's natural resources.  The winning phrase writer will receive two free nights of camping in any Iowa state park, a one-year subscription to Iowa Outdoors magazine, an Iowa Sportsman's Atlas and more.

The Keepers of the Land Volunteer Program is important to Iowa's conservation efforts.  In 2009, more than 24,000 people donated 93,000 hours of their time to enhance and preserve Iowa's natural resources.

The DNR is asking you to submit a new slogan for the group via Twitter, Facebook, or the DNR volunteer email address.  Be sure to include your name, email address, phone number, and "KOL Slogan" with the entry.

Entries must be submitted by March 1, 2010.  The DNR will narrow it down to the top three and place them on their Facebook page on March 5.  The entry with the most "likes" at 4:30 PM on March 15 will be declared the winner.
