Former Hawk and A-P Star Kampman Mulls NFL Future

Chicago Bears defensive end Alex Brown says he'd like a new linemate in 2010: Green Bay Packers defensive end Aaron Kampman

Brown said he's not counting on the Bears re-signing free agent defensive end Adewale Ogunleye, and that Kampman would be a good replacement for him.

Kampman is a free agent, and the Packers have indicated that while they will offer him a contract  he won't be a priority. Kampman suffered a torn ACL in November and might not be fully recovered by the start of the season, so he likely won't be able to command a big contract.

For the Bears, defensive end is a priority because Ogunleye is likely to leave and because of the death of Gaines Adams.
