Brandon getting flood recovery money


BRANDON (KWWL) -- The City of Brandon is getting more than half a million dollars to help with the continued flood recovery effort.

Brandon will get $574,450 that will be used to rehab their entire sanitary sewer system.

They will reline or replace sewer lines and rebuild manholes to reduce inflow and infiltration.

Brandon is one of ten Iowa cities that are sharing $17,441,851 in Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Funds to help protect from future floods and rebuild from the floods of 2008.
