CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - Cedar Rapids Police say they arrested a suspected bank robber because his alleged getaway car was a test drive.  Police arrested 41 year old Randy Copenhaver after "good old fashioned police work."  They say Copenhaver robbed the Community Savings Bank on Mt. Vernon Rd. Thursday afternoon.  They say they found the getaway car shortly after the robbery at Mt. Vernon Rd. Auto Sales.  They say it turns out Copenhaver had test driven the vehicle during the time of the robbery.  They say because the dealership made a copy of his driver's license for the test drive, they were able to track him down and arrest him Friday afternoon at the Days Inn & Suites on Blair's Ferry Rd.  He's charged with 2nd degree robbery and is currently in the Linn Co. Jail.
