"If you are planning on attending the Waterloo East vs. Waterloo West boys basketball substate game to be held at West on Monday, February 22, 2010, please be advised of the following. All tickets for this game must be pre-purchased in the business office. We will be selling tickets only during the school's business hours starting Monday, February 15 through Friday, February 19 at 3:00 p.m. No tickets will be sold after that time. It is important for you to understand that NO tickets will be sold at the door. For those of you attending state wrestling, you will have to purchase yours before you leave, or you will not be allowed to purchase when you return on Monday. In order to purchase a ticket you must have your valid school ID. Cost of the ticket is $6.00 and since it is a state event, no passes are accepted. If you have been involved with any disruptive behavior, defiance, or have been out of school suspended, you will not be allowed to purchase a ticket. Game time is 6:00 p.m. and doors will be closed and nobody will be allowed in after 6:15 p.m., even if you have purchased a ticket."

The game will be held Monday, February 22, 2010 in the Siddens Gymnasium at West High School at 6:00 p.m..

Superintendent Gary Norris says, "Our priority is to provide a safe environment for students and adults to enjoy athletic events. It is not tolerable to permit a few to disrupt an event. We are taking the steps detailed below to maximize the safety of fans and players. Even though we have increased security at events significantly, there remain problem areas that we are immediately addressing. We ask all our community to join with us in this commitment to safe events. We are taking some immediate steps for the next East vs. West game while we review long term plans."

If any adult can't arrange to buy a ticket using these guidelines, you are asked to contact the school Athletic Office or Cora Turner, and they help in making a ticket available to you.

Picture IDs will be needed for purchase and admission and must match the ticket sales information at the door.
