DUBUQUE (KWWL) -- In court Monday, Hempstead Assistant Principal Shane Oswald pleaded not guilty to alleged crimes against a Hempstead High School senior girl.

Oswald is charged with sexual exploitation by a school employee, distribution of drugs (Hydrocodone) to a minor, and providing alcohol to a minor.

Oswald demanded a speedy trial by jury.

The trial is set to begin April 5th.

Oswald is on paid administrative leave from the Dubuque Community School District.  He was released from jail last week after his father posted the necessary $50,000 cash bond.
