UNI Head Coach Mark Farley Talks About His Son's Decision to Play at Kansas

UNI grads, Panther head foortball coach Mark Farley and Iowa State head basketball coach Greg McDermott have a lot in common.

Both played and coached under the UNI-Dome roof..

While they were coaching at Northern Iowa,  their sons Jake Farley and Doug McDermott were friends--playing sports together..

And now Farley and Mac have something else in common...Both of their sons have chosen to play their respective sports at the school where their father once coached.

Wednesday-- a proud father-- Mark Farley watched his son Jake sign to play football at Kansas. Farley was the Jayhawks linebackers coach before taking the UNI head coaching job in 2001.

 

 

Coach Farley says Jake who will play linebacker at Kansas is making a great choice.
