D.M. man says no to carjacking

DES MOINES (KWWL) - A Des Moines man was able to foil a carjacking simply by refusing to go along with the crime.  Police say 47-year-old Lloyd Stump parked his truck early Thursday and was walking toward the entrance to a drug store on Des Moines' north side when a masked man pulled a gun on him.  According to police, the gunman demanded the keys to Stump's truck.  Police say Stump responded with a profanity and continued to walk toward the store's entrance.  Despite the gunman's threat to shoot him in the back of the head, Stump refused to give up the keys. When he entered the store, he called police and reported the attempted robbery.  The gunman fled without firing a shot.  According to police, Stump could not identify the man because the gunman wore a mask.
