For most Americans, using the internet is an everyday occurrence. Now new research shows more and more people are turning to the web to stay healthy.
A survey released by the National Center for Health Statistics shows during the first six months of 2009, more than half of Americans used the internet to look up health information.
Five percent had spoken with a doctor via email, and six percent used the internet to refill a prescription.
The survey also found women were more likely then men to use the web as a health resource.
