AMES (KWWL) -- The Iowa State men's basketball team will show just how serious they are about raising breast cancer awareness when they take the floor Saturday in Hilton Coliseum.

They will all be wearing pink.

The Cyclones will be wearing pink shoes and jerseys with pink lettering that Nike has outfitted them with as they take on Kansas State at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The ISU Athletics Department has teamed up with Hy-Vee to sponsor the game as a "Pink Out".

Students in "Cyclone Alley" will be wearing pink shirts and everyone attending the game is encouraged to wear pink.

The Cyclone coaching staff knows how important breast cancer awareness is.  Head coach Greg McDermott's wife, Theresa is a breast cancer survivor along with the mother of graduate assistant Bryant Petersen.

Brigham Young, Illinois and Oregon will also wear the pink shoes and jerseys in upcoming games.
