Open house for new Black Hawk County Conservation Board

Waterloo (KWWL)-- The floods of 2008 ruined the headquarters offices of the Black Hawk County Conservation Board.

Temporarily offices were set up at the Hartman Reserve Nature Center.

Sunday, members held an open house for the new facility on Airline Highway in Waterloo.

They moved into the new facility in December.

Along with new offices, the building has a new banquet room that can be rented out.

"It is nice to have a facility that is designed to be an office which provides us with the space we need for public meetings for training and for various needs." said Anne Duncan, planning administrator.

The new banquet room can host up to 200 people.
