Thoughts of summer taking over UNI-Dome

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- It's beginning to look a lot like summer in the UNI-Dome.  It's certainly a change from the recent cold, rainy weather.  Setup was underway Thursday night for the Iowa Boat, RV and Vacation show in Cedar Falls.

It's the 22nd year for the event.  Organizers say it's a chance to forget about the cold weather we've been having recently.

"We're really excited about summer at the Dome. We have the dome packed full of boats, RV's, vacation and fishing opportunities with this winter we have been having this is a great getaway," said John Bunge with Iowa Show Productions, Inc.

A new family feature to look for this year is a giant alligator snapping turtle named Crunch.  It weighs 165 pounds and is more than 150 years old.  The show runs Friday through Sunday.
