Cows killed in two separate Benton County accidents

BENTON COUNTY (KWWL) -- Three cows are dead following two separate accidents in Benton County Tuesday morning.

Sheriff Randy Forsyth says the first accident happened at 1:42 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 2000 block of Highway 30.

A full size van carrying workers struck two cows that were in the middle of the road.  No people were injured in the accident but, both cows died.

The accident had Highway 30 shutdown for a little over an hour.

The second accident happened at 3:51 a.m. Tuesday morning on Highway 21 about 2 to 3 miles south of Dysart.

A semi hit a cow that had wandered out into the road.  The driver was not hurt but, the cow also died in that accident.

The owners of the cows have not been located yet.
