Iowa could lose seat in Congress due to census

DES MOINES (KWWL) -- Iowa is expected to lose one of its five seats in Congress following the 2010 census.

Losing a seat means the district lines will need to be re-drawn for the 2012 elections.

That would leave two Senate seats and four House seats in Washington.

Iowa's non-partisan Legislative Services Agency is responsible for drawing the new districts which are then voted on by state lawmakers.
